Nextdoor is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who can make an immediate impact on our team. In this role, you will combine your current knowledge of email marketing skills and best practices to support our overall marketing initiatives. You will be supporting strategic approaches on targeting and segmenting audiences, coordinating email lifecycle campaigns, and helping to reach our targets with creativity.

Once you have a strong understanding of our entire customer journey, you’ll develop campaigns to optimize customer satisfaction, engagement, retention, and compliance. Core responsibilities will include development, execution and analysis of email campaigns with the objective of increasing email engagement, conversion rate, and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Email Marketing Manager with strategy and implementation
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaigns through data development, personalization, and dynamic content
  • Assist in planning and executing ad-hoc email communications
  • Measure and analyze campaign effectiveness by reporting on performance and conversion metrics
  • Monitor email health metrics, deliverability, sender score, and IP address statuses to ensure high deliverability of emails to the customer
  • Improve database hygiene by removing duplicates and validating email addresses
  • Aid in the development and execution of our marketing automation platform integration with CRM
  • Assist in the development of automation tools for various email marketing initiatives
  • Ownership of the day-to-day, hands-on execution of all things emails (pulling audiences, segmenting, inputting copy, and updating code)
  • Continuously conduct A/B tests and analyze results to garner insights and optimize future email campaigns
  • Help drive awareness for new content, company announcements, and upcoming product releases through email
  • Conduct market research to identify new revenue opportunities, the latest industry trends, and the competitive landscape

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of full-cycle email marketing experience
  • Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS and email design as well as understanding of email coding and best practices, including responsive design
  • Experience with enterprise-level email service providers (Hubspot, Sendgrid, Pardot, etc.)
  • Reporting on data-driven analysis to drive actionable, needle-moving results
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Basic understanding of SQL and audience segmentation
  • Familiarity with data mining and web-scraping
  • Knowledge and understanding of email marketing journey’s and triggered emails
  • Ability to prioritize and think strategically
  • Understanding of CRM & customer engagement, with knowledge of email best practices, as well as methods for testing and optimization
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Experience with email copywriting is a plus
