Sound Designer (Contract) at Survios

Survios, the foremost virtual reality game developer and pioneer of the future of immersive technologies, has an opening for a talented Sound Designer (Contract).

We’re looking for a sound designer who is also a strong generalist and feels comfortable wearing a lot of hats on a very small audio team.  This is an on-site, short-term contract position, which we suspect will last for approximately 3 to 5 months.

Responsibilities: 

  • Working with various art, design, and engineering team members to determine what types of sounds are needed, how they should be implemented, and whether any special engineering is required for them to play back properly. 
  • Troubleshooting audio issues.
  • Identifying issues or inefficiencies in the audio pipeline.
  • Editing and implementing music stems.
  • Editing and implementing voiceover.

Requirements:

  • Unreal Engine experience is required.
  • 3 or more commercially shipped titles are required.
  • A portfolio showing examples of your work is required.

Pluses:

  • VR experience is a plus.
  • Reaper experience is a plus.
