Overview of Role:
 
Leanplum is seeking an experienced and driven Controller to join our San Francisco team and lead the financial activities and accounting operations world wide. Reporting directly into the CFO, the ideal candidate is a driven, strategic leader with a strong background in accounting including Big 4 audit experience. Prior experience in a fast paced SaaS environment, as well as strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting concepts is required. 
 

Responsibilities

 

    • Own financial close and reporting cycles ensuring accuracy and timeliness
    • Develop and lead a global accounting team of 5  
    • Continuously improve all aspects of accounting operations, systems, and processes
    • Oversight of all technical accounting interpretations and related documentation
    • Ensure global compliance with all financial, tax and other required regulatory filings
    • Responsible for foreign currency, inter-company transactions, transfer pricing, consolidations, and financial statement and footnote preparation and other disclosures
    • Responsible for end-to-end systems data flows and design and documentation of related controls
    • Manage relationships with auditors and outside technical advisorsBe a trusted advisor to the CFO; proactively collaborate, influence, and align the company's accounting policies with the overall company strategy.

Qualifications

 

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • CPA required
    • 8+ years of combined accounting experience including big 4 audit experience
    • 3+ years industry experience running an accounting team
    • Prior experience in a B2B SaaS
    • Proven record of mentoring and developing teams
    • Manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
    • Experience with Netsuite 
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • High attention to detail
