Business Program Manager at Highspot

Highspot is adding this new Business Program Manager position in order to help the Accounting, Finance, HR, and Legal teams scale and support our fast-growing international SaaS company.  This is an integral position in the growth of the company with the opportunity to work closely with an experienced executive team to build and influence the company’s growth.  This position reports to the VP of Finance.

As a Business Program Manager at Highspot, you will work cross functionally to manage projects and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.  You have a strong execution mindset and possess the ability to understand the complexities of the business and take initiative to complete complex tasks and projects quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.  You have proven project management skills to plan and execute multiple projects, manage timelines, manage project issues and risks, monitor project progress and report and document project deliverables, metrics and results.  You’re a self starter who continuously identifies opportunities to create or improve processes and procedures and excel at stakeholder management.

  • Gain understanding of business operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, understanding cross-functional dependencies, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Develop business analysis artifacts to document both current and desired future state requirements with change management plans as they pertain to specific projects and/or functional areas.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team (crew); establishing budget.
  • Effectively document and communicate information to senior business leaders that enable sound business decisions.
  • Execute on key cross-functional projects such as quarterly management business reviews and materials for Highspot’s Board of Directors.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and drive execution of key compliance-related projects such as Highspot’s adoption of ASC 606 led by accounting.
  • Manage project roadmap, prioritization, and project status for Accounting, Finance, HR, and Legal teams.
  • Strategize on scalable process as Highspot expands internationally.  Work with international teams, supporting multiple countries and time zones.
  • Organize and synthesize large amounts of information provided by stakeholders.  
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.  Maintain, adjust and update project plans as needed. Consolidate, communicate and ensure resolution of all issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between both business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Create ad hoc reporting and analyses.  
  • Develop strong partnerships at all levels across Highspot.  Creatively collaborate with teams and individuals in ways that move teams toward progress, encourages teamwork and builds trust.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years program/project management experience, experience in compliance-type projects a plus
  • Certifications in project management, change management, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc. preferred
  • Management consulting experience a plus
  • High competence with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project, or other planning tools
  • Proven ability creating, managing, executing, and reporting on project plans
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver cross-functional projects, including virtual team members
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels and ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way
  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work across and influence a wide variety of audiences and all levels of employees
