The Test Engineer will support various electrical, mechanical and manufacturing activities within the Operations team. This group consists of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, NPI/Manufacturing and Quality. This role will utilize a broad range of skills and provide the candidate with experience spanning multiple product development disciplines. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility to support the various team needs.

What You Will Do
  • Work with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Software, Supplier Quality Engineers, and suppliers to develop, implement, qualify and optimize test equipment and programs
  • Develop test fixtures, testing SOP, and manage test fixture fabrication    Provide testing technical support for both NPI and MP builds
  • Ensure suppliers and CM's meet quality and productivity targets 
  • Drive the failure analysis and solution implementation at all suppliers and CM's
  • Drive continuous quality improvement at all suppliers and CM's with systematic methods – SPC, DOE, 8D, etc.
  • Support cost reduction and sustaining activities
  • Work with Engineering, SCM and Quality to qualify new vendors, suppliers, and CM's
  • Publish testing metrics to the management team and manufacturing department
  • Develop and manage test fixtures fabrication
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of in-house and outsourced consumer electronics quality/manufacturing experience
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in EMS/ODM 
  • Working knowledge of USB, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interface protocols
  • Working knowledge of Database, APIs, Cloud services
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Android and Linux
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical test fixtures development and operations
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Asia supply chains
  • Knowledge of Statistics, Spreadsheet, PLM and ERP system
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Experience with strategic projects and analysis
  • Professional proficiency in English
