We’re looking for an inspiring design manager and leader to join the Design team at a really important time in our growth. Ideal candidates respect and understand craftsmanship, have strong strategic thinking and product development experience, and are great cross-functional partners. You will shape the strategy, guide the design, and help grow the skillset and careers of our designers. You’ll work closely with our product design, design research, product marketing, product management, and product engineering teams.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate across disciplines to plan and manage the execution of our product roadmap.
  • Recruit, hire and mentor and an amazing team of product designers.
  • Help build our design culture and process.
  • Work to create a design system that expresses our brand and speeds our development.
  • Lead with qualitative insights and data to ensure we make informed product decisions.
  • Roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever needed. Up to 50% of this role could be initially spent on IC work.

  • Experience in designing digital products and systems. This is not only a people management role—you'll also be involved with the product work. Everyone on the team actively engages in the product development process, details, and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of the full stack of product design, from systems thinking to visual design. You don't need to be an expert in all of these things but you should be able to have informed and intelligent conversations.
  • Ability to communicate with precision, clarity, honesty, and respect.
  • Comfort with ambiguity plus a passion for building a product and a company.
  • Ability to build strong and positive cross-functional relationships.
