What are some of the day to day responsibilities?

- Provide information technology (IT) support for field-deployable IT equipment

- Travel to customer outdoor field deployment sites for setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field-deployed equipment

- Handle daily “tier one” support requests from end users and generate bugs/tickets.

- Organize daily support bugs/tickets and finish them on time.

- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, software updates and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.

- Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, sensors and camera systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.

- Perform daily routine checking on remote sensors, servers and services.

- Take on call role to provide support to end users.


Successful candidate criteria:

- Ability to travel anywhere within the continental United States on short notice.

- Ability to carry heavy equipment (less than 50 lbs) outdoors up to one mile over uneven terrain during inclement weather.

- Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Linux environment which includes setup and maintenance.

- Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, VPN, RDP, and other network protocols.

- Familiar with business-level router configuration.

- Entry-level troubleshooting skills in fixing computer hardware and software issues.

- Remote monitoring tool experience like Remote Desktop, SSH, teamviewer.

- Willingness to learn and help others.



- B.S. in Computer Science or related areas  

- 26 years of age or older with a clean driving record (no at-fault accidents/DUI’s)

- Some knowledge on PHP programming languages and web servers.

- Experience driving large vehicles with trailers.

- US Citizen or active security clearance

- Prior experience working with the US Military, Police, and other government bases



Working Environment: 

You will be working from our San Leandro office, as well as frequently traveling with a friendly and diverse set of staff.  You will have access to a fully stocked kitchen, catered lunches and you can participate as a team member in Company events and outings. We will assign you a computer workstation and tools as needed and necessary to complete the job.

Compensation: TBD, which will be paid semi-monthly in accordance with the Company’s normal payroll procedures. Obviously: medical, dental, vision, vacation, health and wellness, and stock options are part of the package.
