We are looking for a Senior Counsel with 7+ years of transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, venture financings and other advanced transactions, looking to shake up the way transactional work can be done by radically overhauling how law firms advise companies on these legal matters. The ideal candidate wants to make a name for themselves by being one of the leaders of Atrium’s Advanced Transactions Group and thinking of innovative ways to run an advanced transactions practice. The ideal candidate will also be willing to roll up their sleeves to work alongside their team while also providing guidance and mentorship to the team’s more junior members.

What will you be doing?

    • Advise the hottest tech startups backed by the top investors
    • Lead client engagements and  transactional work sourced for you by Atrium
    • Grow your own team of transactional  attorneys, paralegals   and practice assistants
    • Identify inefficiencies in legal practice and work with Atrium engineers to develop, implement, and test solutions
    • Set quarterly and annual goals designed by you with Atrium management to improve the Advanced Transactions Group and further your professional growth

What does success look like in this role?

    • California Bar Membership
    • 7+ years relevant experience at AmLaw 100 firm in a general corporate/mergers and acquisitions/ venture financing practice
    • Process-oriented mindset
    • Process-improvement mindset
    • Expertise in negotiating and advising both companies and investors with respect to venture capital financings, sell + buy side representation in mergers and acquisitions
    • Hunger for success as a practicing lawyer and eager to build a successful and collaborative team to deliver legal services in an innovative way
    • Hunger to make “Legal” a better experience for practitioners and clients alike
