Overview
 
 
We are seeking a Retail Leader for a short-term assignment covering a Maternity Leave. You will be a key asset in leading our retail and events team. 
 
This role is focused on achieving and growing measurable sales results from the retail touchpoints of Tonal out in the world. This person needs to be a self-starter who can jump in quickly and bring a high level of energy and passion for retail and sales.

Ideal candidates possess superior communication and project management skills and the ability to build a strong awareness and understanding of Tonal’s customers. This person should have experience selling and marketing premium B2C products or services and the ability to effectively communicate Tonal's differentiated offering through education and inspiration.

 
What You Will Do
 
  • Strategic ownership of all things related to Tonal in-person retail, inclusive of retail locations, training, staffing and marketing
  • Drive productivity and profitability across our Retail channels; responsible for achieving our retail P&L results
  • Assess the business and create appropriate action plans to achieve goals
  • Work closely with VP of Revenue & Growth, Director of Inside Sales and other cross-functional business partners to develop and execute Tonal’s retail strategy 
  • Collaborate with internal brand, design, customer support, digital, product, inside sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience spanning retail to online to in the product
  • Help the rest of Tonal integrate learnings from our retail world, and vice versa
  • Manage a healthy, effective, passionate retail team
  • Regular reporting and analysis of our various retail executions to drive insights
 
Who You Are
 
  • +5 years of retail management & strategy experience
  • +2 years of retail team leadership & management experience
  • Proven track record in talent development and delivering business results
  • Experience selling premium B2C products
  • Excellent leadership skills and can motivate & inspire diverse teams
  • Collaborative and enjoy working with all types of teams
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous situations
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong business acumen, understands how the business works
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking, prioritization and minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to drive necessary change
