Overview
 
Tonal is looking for an experienced creative executive, passionate about health and fitness to help create new and innovative products. From concept to pre-production to post-production, helping to see a creative vision from “paper” to finished high-quality video while leading a full-stack team of creative professionals. 

You will report to Tonal’s Chief Content Officer and lead a diverse and growing video team, focused on creative development as well as pre and post-production. You will focus on innovation, organization and extremely high-quality work, stretching what we’re doing creatively while being extremely detail-oriented along the way.
 

What You Will Do
 
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of pre and post-production in a high volume, high output content environment
  • Oversee a team of producers, directors, editors and production management while providing mentorship and coaching for career development
  • Pre-production oversight, including concept and development
  • Post-production oversight, including workflows and optimizations
  • Guide development of new formats and content types, collaborating across the team and organization
  • Improve all creative aspects of ongoing production and content
  • Oversee budgets and resource management
  • Maintain and extend brand aesthetics and quality standards
 

Who You Are
 
  • 7+ years of experience leading in-house video teams of 5 or more individuals
  • An experienced team leader capable of successfully hiring, leading and developing in-house creative teams
  • A mentor with a growth mindset and a track record of inspiring your staff to do their best work and grow in their professions 
  • Experience managing various production environments from “in-studio” to “on location” as well as post-production
  • Creative development management experience is a must
  • An extremely creative thinker, always challenging and improving your work
  • Experience producing and/or directing for video
  • A visual storyteller
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Very high attention-to-detail and organization

  • Professional experience in the fitness space is a plus, not required
