Business Analyst at Tally

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support our product, finance, and credit functions. You will help drive management's decision-making through data and quality analysis. This is a role with broad exposure to many facets of the business and ideal for someone who is excited to wear many hats in a fast-paced startup environment.
 
 
Tally is building a complex product that connects a simple and delightful mobile experience through cutting-edge backend technology to an archaic financial system. Your work will have a significant impact in the company's bottom line, while improving the lives of our users in an immediate and tangible way. Currently at Series B with $42MM in total funding from Kleiner Perkins, Shasta Ventures, Cowboy Ventures, SVB and others, there are a ton of interesting challenges ahead.

Who we are looking for

 

    • You spent 1-3 years working in an analytical role supporting various business functions through handling large amounts of data and drawing valuable insights from that data.
    • You have the ability to quickly grasp and creatively solve complex problems.
    • You bring a solid understanding of general accounting principles and basic financial cash flow analysis.
    • You have a meticulous attention to detail.
    • You can concisely present your analysis and put together well-structured reports to support decision making within the company.
    • You are quick to learn new skills and are willing to tackle problems outside your comfort zone. This is a startup role and you have to be comfortable wearing many different hats.
    • You have prior experience with building and interpreting predictive models and forecasts, ideally in a consumer finance industry.

Qualifications

 

    • You have a BA or BS in a relevant field of study such as Math, Science, Engineering, Business, etc.
    • You have 1-3 years of relevant professional experience as an analyst, consultant, or accountant.
    • Expert knowledge and speed with Excel. Prior exposure to advanced data analysis and visualization software a plus (SQL, Tableau, R, Python, etc.)
