Brand Designer, Growth at Nextdoor

Nextdoor is looking for a growth product designer to help creatively drive our growth marketing and acquisition strategies. You should be motivated to deliver impact through design, while also supporting the overarching brand experience. This role is part of Nextdoor’s brand team, but will work closely with our growth team and other stakeholders to create engaging designs that convert prospective members and drive adoption.

Candidates will be experienced designers who can solve problems and turn ideas into elegant solutions with a 
focus on user acquisition, growth, and success metrics. You should also be interested in data, measuring results and overy interested a/b testing to determine the best solutions.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Design, launch, learn, and iterate on ways to acquire and retain new users and engage Nextdoor users on a variety of platforms, including the web, iOS, and Android
  • Create campaigns that promote new product features and drive adoption
  • Support motization team efforts focused on customer acquisition
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams, using iterative design process
  • Validate ideas and design decisions with feedback by conducting and analyzing user research

Requirements

You have:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates skills across a range of UX/UI, product, and marketing / brand projects
  • Case studies that demonstrate great looking projects and experiences that have shipped
  • Passion for validating concepts through research, low and high-fidelity prototyping, and user testing
  • A comfort with sharing your opinions balanced with a collaborative attitude and deep empathy for users
  • Experience designing systems and consistent, reusable patterns
  • Ability to communicate your ideas to stakeholders and explain design decisions to anyone in the company
  • Experience designing products for web and mobile platforms
  • An interest in high-level product strategy and vision and a recognition of how your work can impact it
  • A desire to work in a self-driven environment with short feedback loops
