Head of Business and Product Operations

At RDMD, we’re dedicated to jumpstarting new research to accelerate treatments for rare disease patients. We’re looking for someone who can lead all our business and product operations to help us scale operationally as we grow.

You should love creating processes and systems from the ground up and be comfortable with a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. You should love dissecting, researching, and strategizing on new initiatives but also be extremely focused and results-driven when it comes to operational execution.


  • Define strategy around the expansion and scaling-up of business and product operations to support growth in patient volume, geographies, and scope of our platform.
  • Establish key performance metrics around record requesting, processing, and abstraction to ensure predictable delivery of product to patients and our biopharma customers
  • Upgrade and implement appropriate tools, platforms, processes, playbooks
  • Develop and oversee end-to-end regulatory compliance, operations, and data quality procedures, including developing and maintaining documentation of operational and compliance SOPs
  • Continuously identify, prioritize, and quantify areas of operational and strategic improvements
  • Own all special projects as they arise (ranging from validating strategic opportunities to expanding internationally)
  • Manage all business operations functions: payroll, HR, finance, accounting, onboarding, and company policies

Team development and leadership

  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of operations teams
  • Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
  • Over time, implement processes cross functionally to track performance on individual, team, and company-wide level to ensure alignment with company strategic objectives, such as OKRs and KPIs

  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with board of directors, external stakeholders, and staff
  • Has managed a team within a high-growth organization
