Product Manager, Global Expansion at Nextdoor

The team is looking for a Product Manager to lead Nextdoor’s global expansion across Europe, Australia, Canada, and beyond. You should be passionate about bringing neighborhoods online and extending the impact of Nextdoor’s online community into new and emerging markets.

You will lead a team across engineering, design, operations, data science, and marketing to envision and execute on strategies to improve how users in international markets sign-up, verify their identity, and engage within their trusted local communities. The product team will partner with operations and country managers across Nextdoor’s ten international markets to realize the global potential of the platform. This role requires a high degree of entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to get things done. The ideal candidate will couple deep intellectual capacity and analytical rigor with creativity around go-to-market and customer experience.

  • Identify unique product problems international markets face and lead the design, launch, and ongoing ownership of new products and features.
  • Address the cold-start challenge in recently-launched neighborhoods to create networks and clusters highly engaged users. 
  • Drive local member understanding across Nextdoor’s ten international countries and partner with other product teams to drive features that solve these problems or build regional-specific solutions if needed
  • Build tools and analytics to enable local growth marketers.
  • Lead product initiatives that address market-specific product gaps.
  • Lead country-specific data integrations to drive growth and engagement.
  • Create an inspiring vision for our international markets and drive alignment around priorities.
  • Define and analyze data and metrics to inform the success and direction of product development.
  • Advocate for members by integrating usability studies and market research/analysis into the product roadmap.
  • Challenge all members of cross-functional team and then funnel that energy into the product roadmap and execution.
  • Evangelize the Nextdoor mission of using technology to build stronger, safer neighborhoods, and effectively release world-class products that grow and improve the Nextdoor platform.


  • Demonstrated experience delivering several successful and innovative products. 3+ years of product management experience.
  • Customer obsession. Ability to drive clarity and consensus across complex problems by putting the customer first.
  • Excellent communicator. Can lead from the front or from behind when motivating a team.
  • Structured thinker. Superpower around processing and synthesizing large amounts of information in order to get to the right solution.
  • Intellectual horsepower and analytical rigor. Find how to get the data you need and create actionable insights. Familiarity with SQL and able to keep data at your fingertips.
  • Bias for action. Can juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency.
  • Passion for global expansion a must. Previous experience in international product roles, social networking space or developing social products/technologies/platforms a plus. This role will require travel to Nextdoor’s international markets to build member understanding and relationships with country teams.
