Director of Product Marketing at SendBird

SendBird looking for an accomplished and energized Director of Product Marketing with a passion for using, evangelizing, and shaping great B2B products. This is a highly cross-functional and strategic role that requires strong partnerships with our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Executive leaders to conceive and execute a strategy that successfully takes SendBird’s suite of products to market and drives business growth. You will play a key role in making decisions that inform our product roadmap, influence future product strategy, and drive SendBird’s go-to-market strategy. 




  • Be a product spokesperson, both internally and externally, and one of our points of contact for analysis relations. Explain the SendBird vision, and demo our product at briefings and events; showcasing the best of SendBird to our customers.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate the technical vision into marketing communications as new products are introduced. You will work with product management to build the product roadmap. 
  • Work closely with the Demand Generation, Content, and Customer Marketing teams who are responsible for lead generation campaigns and go-to-market events and programs to ensure that all of the marketing collateral at these campaigns, programs and events is consistent in overall branding, message and details, also ensure that all sales tools and collateral at these events and programs are up-to-date and complete.
  • Demonstrate an encyclopedic knowledge of the customer, the competition, and how a technology uniquely solves that customer’s problems. Develop insights on user data, account data, voice of the customer, and campaign effectiveness through reports or research. Works with business partners to translate insights into actionable recommendations that promote business objectives and drive tangible business results.
  • Help define the strategy, goals and measurement methods for cohesive cross- functional plans that enable winning execution for customer acquisition, engagement, up-sell and retention.
  • Develop industry narratives, GTM playbooks, and full funnel programs to empower a rapidly growing sales force to close more deals, faster, and at a higher lifetime value. Proven track record in developing highly effective sales presentations and collateral.
  • Track and monitor the competitive landscape and ensure that the company collateral and website accurately reflects the latest, differentiated product positioning.
  • Work with our executive leadership closely and help them to make the strategic decision and alignment about the future product roadmap and direction of our go-to-market strategy. 
  • Lead and grow a team of product marketing managers who own market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, represent the needs of businesses internally with Product Management and Engineering teams, and are responsible for crafting compelling narratives for SendBird’s products for sales and marketing teams.

  • Ability to synthesize insights and complex ideas into simple, succinct narratives
  • Experience working on product marketing throughout a product’s lifecycle experience in B2B marketing and working closely with sales teams is preferred
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects to completion
  • Proven track record of partnering with product management to contribute to product strategy
  • Strong initiative and follow-through skills with high attention to detail and quality
  • Willing to travel both domestic and international
  • Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Love for storytelling and architecting multi-pronged customer journeys



  • 10+ years of relevant experience that can span product marketing, product management, solutions marketing or strategy consulting
  • 4+ years’ experience building and leading a team of individual contributors and managers
  • 4 – 6 years experience at SaaS, infrastructure, or platform companies targeting mid-market or enterprise-grade customers, preferably in a high growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MBA from top tier school
  • Preferred: Deep understanding of the SaaS buyer journeys and personas (especially at mid-sized and larger companies)
  • Domain expertise in video, messaging, SaaS, API technologies, understanding the persona/mindset of CTOs, VP Engineering, Product Managers and their key priorities
