We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Director / Vice President of Business Development to join our Fly team in San Francisco!

The Vice President Business Development will set and execute a business development strategy to help build-out partnerships and drive transformational growth. This role will determine where Flyhomes products and services can deliver high value within and across specific market segments. The position will assess market opportunities, target customer sets and geographies, competitors, and develop detailed go-to-market plans and campaigns.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the overall business development process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management to include pipeline progress and sales forecasting
  • Identify and evaluate strategic business opportunities through market research and analysis, external relationships, and other means.
  • Establish target markets and verticals suitable for Flyhomes products and develop effective sales and marketing strategies for selling into them
  • Source, develop and maintain a pipeline of new potential partnerships; Focus on partnerships which drive acquisition; identifying partnerships that drive leads into brokerage and mortgage products, such as lenders, builders, and financial service providers
  • Interface with the product and marketing teams to help guide product direction and production of tailored sales strategies
  • Drive, track, analyze and communicate key partnership metrics to cross functional and leadership stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional leadership including marketing, brokerage, product & engineering, operations & success, and finance, legal & compliance
  • Drive contract negotiation and end to end launch execution with partners
  • Remain knowledgeable on relevant market and industry trends, competition and compliance requirements; develop a deep understanding of customer needs, priorities and pain points
  • Model company values and professional ethics and hold yourself and others to the highest degree of integrity 

What You’ll Bring

  • Eight or more years of relevant business development or consultative sales experience
  • Experience in building sales organizations at early stage companies
  • Experience developing successful business development strategies with proven results
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic, operational and tactical customer-facing levels
  • Strong operational experience and understanding how to drive a data and KPI driven business
  • Real estate industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with G Suite and MS Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, MBA preferred
