APAC Growth Marketing Director at Zwift

We’re on the lookout for an APAC Growth Marketing Director to establish and lead the growth of Zwift in key markets of the Asia Pacific . The role could be based out of our central London, UK or Melbourne, Australia offices depending on candidate capabilities, experience and residence. You’ll be responsible for growing Zwift’s subscribers in APAC by resourcing the key markets with the right personnel, championing localisation and designing and delivering marketing strategy with collaboration of local activation and central marketing teams.

From brand to demand channels your seasoned industry experience will be accountable for top line strategy to bottom line growth.  


  • Operating Structure​: Lead the formation of locally incorporated offices in Australia, China and Korea when the size of the market and business growth demands it.
  • Organisational Structure and Staffing​: Recommend the org structure and recruiting staff in each market that sets Zwift up for success in the APAC region
  • Currently managing a team of nine in the region with three current open requisitions 
  • Budget Planning and Management​: Lead APAC’s annual budget setting process and managing budget spend across Zwift financial year (Apr-Mar)
  • Brand Management​: Protect the value and performance of the Zwift master brand
  • Marketing Strategy​: (1) Localising global programming into APAC markets (2) Building bottom up marketing strategies tailored to the specific needs and nuances of local markets (3) Super servicing the needs of cyclists, runners and triathletes
  • Supervising Marketing Implementation​: Across the full channel mix: field marketing, PR, social media, community management, local brand partnerships, in-game activations, influencer marketing and localized customer service
  • Business Development and Partnership management​: (1) Assisting Zwift HQ develop global partnerships on a local level (2) Creating local partnerships which accelerate local growth.
  • E-Sports and e-Racing: Support the development and implementation of emerging eRacing efforts in the region
  • Collaborate with Zwift Marketing Management: Work with Zwift’s Marketing and Creative Directors to ensure global thinking is a part of Campaign and Creative Strategy
  • Champion for remote teams: Bridge for APAC Territory Activation teams and work with internal client teams who sit outside of the Zwift Marketing Org, including game, eSport and eCommerce to ensure their local needs are met
  • Drive international expansion: Build Go-To-Market plans (including localisation) for expansion territories in Asia
  • Supervising local markets​: Expect lots of travel

  • 7+ years sales and marketing experience
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in Cycle, Tri and Run markets Sales and marketing experience in the APAC region, including brand management
  • A proven track record in scaling business growth
  • A proven track record in hiring and building teams
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Experience of localising global brands in local markets 
  • Proven track record in delivering creative and innovative media strategy, ideas and execution across different budget levels
  • Experience of working with large consumer brands with a B2C focus, preferably across health/wellness/sport/tech categories
  • Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, who’s able to issue concise feedback and direction to internal and external stakeholders teams.
  • Comfortable with working across multiple timezones with stakeholders ranging from APAC to Europe and the USA.
  • Proven ability to collaborate on multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines
  • The appetite to thrive in a fast paced working environment

  • Experience in the Marketing and Media industry across Client, Agency or Media Owner side with expertise covering:
    • Media & Communications Planning
    • Digital media and Broadcast experience
    • Agency management
    • Brief writing
    • Report writing & presenting
  • A keen interest in the fitness sector with broad based knowledge of the cycling and/or running industry, media and consumer landscape
  • A practical knowledge of Zwift
  • A love for sport – as much for you as us!
  • BA or BS degree is required.
  • Fluency in English
  • Other languages are a plus, specifically Japanese, Chinese and Korean
