Fit-Tech will consist of high calibre, experienced individuals rolling up to the CEO through the Director for Engineering and the VP Fitness Technologies. The division will form a new P&L within the business and will focus on topics of high strategic importance to Zwift and Zwift eSports, in particular developing new products that improve or enhance the overall Zwift offering. Fit Tech consists of 3 main divisions, of which Engineering is the largest, the others being Programme Management and Product Management.

The Senior Electronics Engineer role is a newly created position within the Fitness Technologies (Fit Tech), Engineering Division, reporting to the Systems Engineer. The Senior Electronics Engineer is responsible for:

  1. Design of compact PCBAs for Fit Tech products.
    1. Full accountability for schematic design.
    2. Accountable for layout in collaboration with suppliers and CAD Manager.
  2. Carrying out FMEA analyses.
  3. Managing procurement and assembly of prototype PCBAs.
  4. Testing prototype PCBAs, in collaboration with the Embedded Software developer.
  5. In collaboration with the Production Manager, managing manufacture and testing of production PCBAs.
  6. Where appropriate, assisting R&D in prototype and demonstrator development for new products.

As Senior Electronics Engineer you will interact within the business as follows::

  • To the Systems Engineer and Engineering Director, Fit Tech.
  • To the VP R&D.
  • To Programme and Product Management within Fit Tech.
  • To the embedded software developers and CAD Manager within Engineering.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent numerate discipline.
  • Masters or higher degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years electronics design experience.
  • Knowledge of at least one of Bluetooth or ANT+ design essential.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, MEMS or electromechanical actuators also essential.
  • Knowledge of USB and other data comms protocols highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of power management, distribution and regulation a bonus.

Location & Travel:

  • London, UK, primary place of work.
  • Regular visits to Zwift’s Long Beach CA Office and Taiwan Contract Manufacturers may be required.
  • Ability to travel to anywhere in the world on a monthly basis to perform the roles and duties
