Fit-Tech will consist of high calibre, experienced individuals rolling up to the CEO through the Director for Engineering and the VP Fitness Technologies. The division will form a new P&L within the business and will focus on topics of high strategic importance to Zwift and Zwift eSports, in particular developing new products that improve or enhance the overall Zwift offering. Fit Tech consists of 3 main divisions, of which Engineering is the largest, the others being Programme Management and Product Management.

The Technician role is a newly created position within the Fitness Technologies (Fit Tech), Engineering Division, reporting to the CAD Manager. The Technician is responsible for:

  1. Supporting all Fit Tech Engineering staff with mechanical engineering expertise.
  2. Advising designers on all aspects of mechanical design and build.
  3. Building prototype equipment.
  4. Carrying out “tear down” exercises on 3rd party equipment.
  5. Under the direction of the CAD Manager, equipping, operating and maintaining a Workshop.

As Technician you will interact within the business as follows::

  • To the CAD Manager and Director.
  • Other Fit Tech Engineering staff, particularly the Industrial Designer and Production Manager.
  • External agencies and consultants.
  • Other technical staff within Zwift.

Required skills and experience:

  • HNC or NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, plus significant additional experience.
  • Significant experience building mechanical prototype equipment.
  • Significant experience using/operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines.
  • Experience operating 3D printing machines.
  • Experience working with Industrial Design highly desirable.
  • Welding experience (MIG/TIG) a bonus.

Location & Travel:

  • London, UK, primary place of work.
  • Occasional visits to Taiwan Contract Manufacturers may be required.
  • Ability to travel to anywhere in the world on a monthly basis to perform the roles and duties
