Summary of the Stance Merchandising Data Internship:

As the Merchandise Data Analyst Intern you will support the business planning and analytics efforts for the Product Department. You must exemplify a high standard for data accuracy; be tenacious in creating the optimal data environment for scale; and be a student of process and operations. Can you spot problems before they arise? Are you able to translate data into a story of key trends and forecast possible outcomes? Are you ruthlessly organized and detail oriented? We are looking for someone who has a thirst for experience and a hunger for learning.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Analytics.

As the Stance Merchandising Data Intern, you will:

  • Be responsible for Style Master and product nomenclature management.
  • Help with Domo card and dashboard management.
  • Help with reporting for Merchandise team.
  • Ad hoc data and operations support for Planning team.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Good understanding of SQL, Python, or 1-2 years’ experience with cloud based BI platforms (Domo, SAS, Tableau, etc).
  • Understanding or experience with ERP systems a plus (Full Circle, SAP, RepSpark).
  • Strong to advanced Excel skills.
  • Understanding or experience Demand Planning, Operations, or Merchandise Planning a plus.
  • Experience in Apparel/Retail industry a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
