Founded in 2016, Cover is a mobile-first insurance platform licensed in all 50 states, working with over 35 carriers. We were part of Y Combinator’s W16 batch, and have gone on to raise $27 million across three funding rounds backed by world class investors. 

 

We’re growing fast. In the past year we’ve scaled the team from 30 to 100 people across our San Francisco and Toronto offices.

Who we need:

We are looking to build a modern QA team focused on enabling teams to drive quality with smart automation and understanding our product and its customers. At Cover, QA isn't a team. It is a process that everyone subscribes to. Our goal is to provide the tools and experience to let developers own product quality. At the same time, we want to make sure that what we are planning to build makes sense for our users. We are looking for someone who knows how their time is best spent in order to continually push the quality of what we build up. If you feel the same way, chat us up!

What we are looking for:

  • has experience writing automated tests and/or frameworks
  • can identify scenarios that should be tested, and explore edge cases
  • focused on how a product meets a consumer's needs

What makes you stand out:

  • has worked on tools, scripts or toy projects in their spare time (please, show us!)
  • familiar with Node/JS, Cypress  
  • worked or studied AI and algorithms that allow for more intelligent automation
