AP & Payroll Specialist at TigerConnect

TigerConnect is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance and Operations team. This position will report to the Assistant Controller and oversee our day-to-day accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will be system savvy, organized, motivated, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. 

What You’ll Own:

  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Manage cash balance to forecast by prioritizing invoice payments according to payment terms.
  • Process outbound and inbound checks, ACH and wire payments.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations.
  • Assist with general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, deferred rent, accruals and prepaid expenses.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and review for any unusual reconciling items.
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned and required by management.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
  • Set up and verify new employees on TriNet
  • Verify all timecards for 4 hourly employees for weekly payroll processing
  • Update and maintain employee information

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Previous experience with Netsuite preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High level of attention to detail; committed to accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Proactive nature with a positive attitude
