As a Controller and Sr. Accounting Manager you will work directly with co-founders and senior management; You will have a unique opportunity to build an accounting process from scratch and later scale up and grow with a high paced startup. By putting finance and accounting controls in place, and improving processes, you will enable smarter business decisions across all levels of the organization that have a direct impact on the success of the firm. As the team and company grows, the scope of your responsibilities will expand and many leadership opportunities will become available.

What would you be doing?

Be responsible for Technical and Operational Accounting functions

Review and update key accounting policies and procedures inclusive of ASC 606, Equity Accounting and related Audit Accounting Memos

Prepare for company’s 2019 financial audit. Ensure compliance with all policies and requirements, develop, implemented and maintain strong internal controls.

Manage and comply with statutory reporting requirements and tax filings including coordination with financial external advisors.

Evaluate current accounting and billing processes and related systems to identify areas for improvement

Manage and be a great mentor to grow accounting team

What does success look like in this role?

Around 8 years of total experience (4 years at a Big 4 company, 4 years in corporate accounting)

CPA required

BS Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience in handling and managing the Audit

Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SAAS revenue recognition

Comfortable with driving processes and making decisions

Ability to adapt and drive changes to accounting operations in line with business structure
