Responsibilities

  • Identify, build and own reusable react & react-native components
  • Extend and improve our mobile experiences and design systems, ensuring consistency across products and platforms
  • Own react-native environments and tooling
  • Collaborate to create a codebase that will be a joy to work in for years to come
  • Be part of a cross-functional, full-stack team working on react-native and react on the web
  • Work with product to understand requirements and recommend implementation approaches

Qualifications

  • Modern css knowledge: Advanced CSS3, flexbox, grid, animations, etc.
  • Modern js knowledge: ES6+, callbacks, promises, async/await, classes, etc.
  • React knowledge: jsx, binding, classes, methods, state, hooks etc.
  • Cross platform development, You're relatively familiar with Xcode/Android studio / Expo
  • You know react-native, knowing where there might be trouble, and what trade-offs you can make to avoid them is expected in this role
  • You should be skilled at pair programming and teaching things that you've learned

These would also be nice

  • Experience with GraphQL/Postgres/Node
  • Interest in designing and building out design system components
  • Interest in react-native-web
  • Flow / Typescript experience
  • You're familiar with the react-native community / ecosystem and are open to making OSS contributions
