Business Development Associate at SendBird

We are looking for a Business Development Associate with an emphasis on targeting our strategic customers. We are looking for a strong technical understanding and can create real opportunities with mid-market and enterprise customers. You will play a critical role in our sales team by prospecting, discovering, and expanding business opportunities. You will identify the right customers, qualify them, help nurture the long-term relationship and convert them to real opportunities. We expect you to have the drive to achieve ambitious goals, and yet work with the team to streamline operational excellence.

At SendBird, we are building the most scalable and powerful chat API in the world. We have customers from over 150 countries around the world and serve a truly wide-range of use-cases across online communities, marketplaces, on-demand services, games, e-commerce and more.

  • Identify, contact, and establish relationships with potential clients and their key decision-makers. 
  • Establish a deep understanding of SendBird’s business operations, including internal processes and competitive advantages.
  • Work side by side with our Strategic Account Executives to ensure seamless sales transitions.
  • Engage and collaborate with external partners at all levels of the organization.
  • 2+ years of previous experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and adapt to different audiences. 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a rapidly evolving business landscape.
  • Solid stakeholder management skills, both for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Quick communication response times.
  • Creative problem-solver.
  • Deep understanding of technology.
  • Tech-savvy and/or previous experience with web and mobile development projects
  • Formal SaaS lead generation training at an extremely competitive sales environment
  • Experience generating leads for cloud-based and/or middle-ware solutions
  • Experience in vertical industries (communities, live-streaming, on-demand, e-commerce, gaming, etc.)
