Director, IT at TigerConnect

TigerConnect is looking for a Director of IT who will be responsible for comprehensive direction and support of all technologies utilized in the company, including desk-side user support, enterprise application support, enterprise data management, and all audio-visual technology. In addition, this role will partner with Security & DevOps personnel as to resolve security concerns and implement security solutions.  The Director of IT will play a critical role in contributing to the further development of our security standards and ensuring company wide compliance with HIPAA and other important health care regulations while we scale the business and technology platform.

You'll partner with senior leaders across the company to understand the evolving business needs to translate them into technical requirements to inform your IT roadmap. You'll build a strong long-term technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic plan to ensure IT becomes a force multiplier for the company as we scale. You'll drive accountability and metrics ownership to translate strategy into results. And you'll align and inspire your organization by effectively communicating and engaging the team in the strategy. Ultimately your mission is to build a world-class IT operation to support the high growth of the company while ensuring best of class products and services are being built into our IT infrastructure.

What You’ll Own:

  • Provide leadership to the IT Operations team in Santa Monica and Palo Alto as well as remote contractors, while building a team that is exceptionally customer service oriented and delivers business value
  • Manage IT continuity and connectivity, overseeing buildout, maintenance, and compliance of existing systems and development of new systems.
  • Partner with Security and DevOps personnel to ensure cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced.
  • Provide oversight for office space and new hire build-outs as we are scaling the company at an accelerated rate.
  • Develop IT Strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives
  • Oversee all facets of the company’s current systems including, Wi-Fi Network, Help Desk, Phone systems, disaster recovery and all other support necessary to ensure systems are up and running, and meeting employees’ expectations
  • Responsible for researching and evaluating new technologies that will improve service and/ or reduce costs to the company
  • Maintain security (network and premises) of TigerConnect’s network, if needed implement solutions that adheres to industry best practices
  • Partner with product and technology teams to ensure product requirements and technical designs will lead to secure implementations.
  • Contribute to security projects, including evaluating and selecting vendors or open source solutions as appropriate.
  • Manage performance of key vendors and third parties, proactively improve value over cost ratio

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Information Systems, Analysis, Business or relevant experience with 8+ years managing and delivering IT services and projects in a software application technology environment
  • Track record for execution and delivery in high-growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Deep understanding of business operations and financial systems in the context of operational business processes
  • Experience with information security theory and implementation in some of the following areas:
    • Data protection
    • Confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation
    • Application, network, database, and hardware security
    • Public Key Infrastructure
    • Code security review
    • Logging and compliance
    • Threat analysis and risk mitigation
    • Policy generation and enforcement
    • Vulnerability detection
    • System auditing
    • WiFi network and maintenance
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to approach problems with attacker mentality and mitigate unique and ever-changing risks
  • Mac and Windows expertise in networking setup and provisioning
  • Proven track record of building relationships and rapport amongst all levels within the organization
  •  Knowledge of Security Frameworks (ISO 27002, NIST 800-53, COBIT, HITRUST) is a plus.
  • Hands on experience with Firewalls, DLP, Vulnerability Assessment tools (infrastructure and application) IDS/IPS, SIEM, 2 factor authentication, static and dynamic code analysis tools etc.
  • Strong knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, UNIX) and authentication (Active Directory)
