The Staff Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, some data entry/validation, and various other ad-hoc projects to support the Accounting department. They will partner directly with the San Francisco-based Accounting Manager to get a chance to see the inner workings of a fast-growing start up from an accounting/finance perspective!

What You’ll Be Doing:
·    Coordinate with Accounting Manager to review monthly / quarterly / annual Budget vs Actuals
·    Ensure compliance with organizational, federal, and state guidelines
·    Build relationships with vendors and internal approvers to resolve accounts payable issues and / or queries
·   Enter cash transactions daily
·   Build financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Balance Sheet / Income Statement / Statement of Cash
/ Statement of Cash Flows)
·   Prepare various financial corporate reporting documents
·   Work on monthly “close” procedures
·   Review employee expense reimbursements to ensure compliance with company policies
Job Requirements:

·    Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics (Accounting preferred - if non-accounting, completion of
Intermediate Accounting course required)
·    Comfortable reporting to the Accounting Manager based in San Francisco
·   Loves picking up and learning new software tools
·   Desire to learn and grow is an absolute must!
·   Interested in learning not only corporate accounting, but also the software that it runs on
· Meticulous attention to detail
·   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·    Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
·    Superb time management
