Robot Support & Deployment Manager at Starship Technologies
At Starship, we are redefining how goods reach the places where we live. We have brought together some incredible talent and have entered commercial pilots with hundreds of robots driving along sidewalks across the United States and four countries in Europe. We believe that soon there will be thousands of our robots around the world.
To continue this mission, we are now looking for a Robot Support and Deployment Manager to join our team. The main goal of this role is to lead the Support and Deployment team both in Estonia and US and plan, coordinate, supervise all activities related to the support and deployment of robots at Starship across all the countries we operate in. Our current fleet of robots numbers 350 and is growing daily, and the role of the Support and Deployment manager is to make sure the robots are deployed at the right time, in the right places, and that the fleet health is maintained. 

In this role you will be given the opportunity to:

    • Lead a team of technicians across multiple countries
    • Develop and implement strategic and tactical Support & Deployment management processes like inventory management, visual management, training, logistics, and hiring.
    • Enable a continuous learning environment
    • Train, guide, and mentor technical staff in their day-to-day roles
    • Assist and support technicians in executing projects
    • Manage and plan the assignment of development resources
    • Work with your own team and stakeholders to set and accomplish OKRs
    • Develop and implement processes across all Starship sites
    • Define and implement efficiency- and quality-driven metrics to improve your own team’s performance

      • 2+ years’ experience leading technical teams
      • Solid hands-on experience in improving processes
      • Experience of working in the manufacturing industry
      • Experience in working with cross-functional and cross-border teams
      • A proven track record of improving processes and implementing changes
      • An excellent command of English is a must
We will consider it as a positive for your application if you have:
      • MSc in Engineering and or
      • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
We are looking for someone who is tech- and process-savvy, data-driven and with a can-do attitude. You should be a high-achiever and a quick learner. Very good communication and problem solving skills are a must.
