The candidate we are seeking is a proven, driven, and instinctual sales leader who strives to inspire, mentor, and manage a talented team of motivated sales professionals. Does this describe you? This position is responsible for top-line-growth in your region while fostering a team culture that reinforces Poppin’s core values and “work happy” attitude. Ideally based in our NYC HQ, the Regional Sales Director position will play a vital role in the future of Poppin and fuel our continued growth, including the exciting opportunity to launch new markets as we continue to expand our footprint with additional regional showrooms.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with company leadership to develop a scalable and repeatable regional sales strategy aimed at aiding the continued growth of the business
  • Execute against the strategy by guiding your team through skill development at every phase of the sales process including discovery, client meetings, pipeline management, forecasting, proposal development, negotiations, and closing 
  • Ensure sales team meets or exceeds monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Create and manage team forecasts
  • Curate an environment of trust that is centered on professional growth and continuous improvement
  • Provide targeted one-on-one coaching for direct reports in weekly meetings as well as implement team wide sales training initiatives
  • Embody the Poppin core values and hold your team accountable to the same high standards
  • Create an awesome environment for your team that motivates individuals while nurturing a team mentality

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a B2B sales team in multiple locations, a minimum of 3 years of direct B2B sales experience
  • BS or BA required
  • Strong coaching and training skills
  • Proven track record of developing sales professionals into leaders in a rapidly expanding environment
  • Experience hiring and developing successful sales professionals in new markets
  • Highly organized, easily adaptable to a high growth organization
  • Must have the ability to motivate and inspire your team
  • Strong understanding of how to build a team culture
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Working knowledge of the Architecture & Design community preferred
