We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Manager who problem solves on-the-fly, enjoys both the technical and process aspects of accounting, and thrives on working cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment.

The Accounting Manager works closely with the entire finance and accounting team, as well as others across the organization, to lead the day-to-day accounting functions of the company as it continues to expand within the US and internationally. This position will develop and improve accounting processes and systems in order to drive efficiencies and best practices. Organization, detail-orientation, team management and communication are critical to the success of this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure FASB, GAAP, and IFRS compliance
  • Manage the accounting team, including the establishment of operational objectives and assignments
  • Manage all aspects of accounting, including cash, revenue, accounts payable  and payroll
  • Manage monthly accounting close efforts including the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserves, and intercompany transactions and eliminations
  • Implement and administer internal control and other policies, procedures and processes for accounting
  • Support and educate internal customers on accounting related items, including existing and new accounting guidance and policies
  • Oversee all payroll processing and payroll accounting functions, including review of periodic payroll and filing of all taxes
  • Lead the supplier procurement and payment processes
  • Support new systems selection and implementation processes
  • Ensure financial systems are appropriate for tasks performed and are developed, tested, and implemented appropriately
  • Support all audits.
  • Develop training and development opportunities for the accounting team.

 What You’ll Bring

  • Eight or more years’ experience in accounting, including a minimum of three years in public accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree, with a focus on accounting or finance
  • CPA preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding or financial accounting and reporting under GAAP and IFRS requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and risk mitigation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Proven success leading a team of people to achieve specific objectives using a collaborative management style
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously
  • Experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing environments
  • Collaborative and customer-service work style
  • Proficiency with G Suite and MS Office Suite
