About the Role

Lattice is looking for an experienced communications professional who is excited to scale a communications program at a hyper-growth startup in the HR tech space.


What you'll do 

You’ll own Lattice’s PR work; partnering with the marketing team to pitch stories related to the future of work, HR technology and employee-centric culture, while also setting up promotional opportunities for Lattice’s leadership team. You’ll work with HR analysts to refine our product positioning and create collateral to accelerate our move up-market. 

You’ll be a horizontal layer across the marketing team working with demand, product marketing, content/community, and design teams to make sure that all of our communications are staying on brand, delivered on time, and aligned with business goals. 

You’ll report to the VP of Marketing and work closely to scale the company communications.


  • Partner with marketing team to make sure that all of our communications align with Lattice’s brand and business goals
  • Manage the marketing program calendar and internal knowledge database 
  • Craft pitches, press releases and key talking points, owning the internal and external messaging around projects 
  • Develop and cultivate close relationships with key editors, journalists and influencers at business, trade and consumer outlets
  • Identify high visibility opportunities for the business and its senior leaders (e.g., events, conferences, awards etc.)
  • Create a communications and press strategy for how to evolve Lattice’s communications program for an enterprise audience 
  • Work with HR Analysts and Trade Associations to explain Lattice’s story to industry partners


  • 6+ years of PR/communications experience in B2B, ideally running communications at a high-growth startup
  • Strong relationships with B2B and tech journalists/publications; proven success in securing top tier media coverage
  • Experience managing an external PR agency
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and prioritize according to ROI
  • Strategic thinker, creative problem solver and clear communicator with excellent writing skills
  • Passion for storytelling and being part of a growing brand
  • Self-starter, who is proactive and highly collaborative
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with executives and act as counsel on external and internal communication needs
  • Good judgment and composure under pressure
  • Trustworthy and able to keep highly sensitive information confidential
