We are looking for an experienced product designer who is interested in being the design expert for our data operations platform. Sample set of problems that you’re designing for:

Design a way for internal operations teams to communicate, track, and log issues with each other on the platform

Create a journey map that documents the life of a data element flowing through our system from initial input to output

Design workflows that streamline processes that are currently done manually

Your day-to-day ownership and responsibilities:

Oversee product design of our internal data operations platform

Observe internal stakeholders to identify pain points, and clarify problems that they’re looking to solve

Facilitate design sessions and crafting specs in conjunction with PMs, engineers, and internal stakeholders

Employ information architecture best practices to layout data in a manner that is easily understandable, actionable, and trackable

Utilize consumer design principles to design experiences that reduce user frustration and errors, while increasing efficiency

About you:

4+ years working as a product designer

Experience working on products with information architecture and workflow challenges

Get excited to solve complex problems associated with data

Have an openness openness to involving team members throughout the design process

Have an experimental mindset and tolerance for trying new things quickly and scrapping them if they don’t work

Think that internal tools should have the same, if not better, design standards as external, consumer-facing applications

About Us:

RDMD’s mission is to empower patients and communities to accelerate drug development for rare diseases. Rare diseases are actually not that rare: 1 in 10 people in the United States has a rare disease, and 50% are children. Your work at RDMD will directly affect people diagnosed with serious rare illnesses by connecting patients and their data to the researchers who are actively developing treatments.

If our mission resonates with you, but you only match some of these attributes, we hope you apply regardless. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and enthusiastically encourage people from historically underrepresented groups in tech to apply to RDMD. We can’t wait to learn more about you!
