Tonal is looking for a highly communicative and organized DevOps Engineer to drive and manage our cloud infrastructure. Support a talented group of developers, use cutting edge technology, and ensure that customers are up and workout out around the clock.

What You’ll Do

Work closely with a world class DevOps and Software team that will provide you with guidance and training

Be a part of building and managing Tonal’s infrastructure in the AWS cloud; creating CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) pipelines, learning about containerization, and deploying applications using container orchestration tools like Kubernetes

Implement a monitoring system to track and troubleshoot issues within our infrastructure and applications 

Focus on automation, you should be able to read and write multiple languages to facilitate automation wherever it is needed

Improve deployment process, working with Docker and Kubernetes

Improve monitoring and alerting for key cloud services

Provide on-call support for production issues

Who You Are

3-5 years' experience

B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience

Working knowledge of AWS

Familiarity with Linux

Proficiency with one programming/scripting language (Go, Python, Bash, etc.)

Ability to communicate and build collaborative working relationships

Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills

Problem solver, self-starter, and critical thinker who can keep an open mind and stay relevant by continually educating themself

Passionate about efficiency and good design

Extra Credit

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins and GitHub Action)

Working with container-based solutions (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)

Familiarity with Infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)

Working with Monitoring (e.g. Prometheus and Grafana)

Working with Logging (e.g. ElasticSearch and Kibana)
