Sr. Manager - Security Operations Center at Anaplan

At Anaplan, we have an exciting opportunity for Sr. Manager of Security Operations that will report to the Sr. Director of Information Security.  This is a leadership role focused on managing a team of Security Analysts who will ensure that Anaplan’s Security Monitoring, Detection and Response postures are robust and effective.  The Sr Manager is expected to drive our Security Monitoring, detection and response initiatives to clearly identify control objectives and work with our Security Engineering team to meet these objectives using automation as much as possible. 

 

Our Security Operations Center is comprised of teams responsible for functions including, but not limited to Event Monitoring, Incident Response, Forensic Analysis, Threat Hunting, and Threat Intelligence.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and management of our Security Operations team including hiring, developing & retaining personnel, workload assignment, process development and some light project management.
  • Lead the Security Operations team responsible for monitoring and responding to Security Events.
  • Direct the Security Incident Response Program and assist with related matters resulting from security investigations.
  • Participate in key security initiatives as the Subject Matter Expert to ensure alignment with strategies and roadmap.
  • Communicate vertically and horizontally across the company to keep stakeholders informed and involved on Security Operations matters.
  • Provide routine updates and reporting on resource utilization to ensure all SOC deliverables are completed on time.
  • Establish key performance indicator (KPI) metrics; track and report on performance; provide reporting to senior management on operations performance and status of initiatives.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and other appropriate documentation to enforce quality and consistency of Security services being delivered.
  • Ensure Security Operations procedures are documented and followed.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key partners to ensure that service levels are met.

 

You possess these skills and experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Security
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • 2+ years managing or in a Lead position for Cyber Incident Response Teams.
  • Experience with managing a remote/distributed team.
  • Proven experience with profiling network traffic to detect possible intrusions from inside or outside networks.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, specifically managing multiple, concurrent projects.
  • At least one Security Industry certification particularly GCIH with CISM, CISSP, GIAC as nice to haves.

 

Preferred Additional Experience:

Experience managing Security Operations resources.

Hands-on experience working with EDR, CASB & SIEM/SOAR tools.
