How we are protecting employees from COVID-19

At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.

We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.

About the Role:

Imperfect Foods is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to help us take Imperfect to the next level. The Business Operations Analyst will be part of the team that leads and delivers critical cross-functional initiatives, provide objective insights related to business and operational health, create alignment among teams, and identifies new opportunities. 

This will require deep cross-functional relationships, maintaining a holistic view of our business, creative problem solving, gleaning insights from complex data sets and using this to identify game-changing opportunities. You will create project plans for getting new initiatives off the ground.

Partner with VP Business Operations & Strategy to find solutions to complex business challenges that may not have straightforward solutions

Analyze customer data and predicted demand to make recommendations for launching new markets and regions

Model out different scenarios to make recommendations with a data-driven approach

Project manage improvements to drive greater efficiencies in day to day operations of different teams

Support the Regional Directors of Operations and the local team during new market launches to ensure they have what they need to set up a successful operation, such as setting up teams with supplies lists, licenses, etc.

Support local teams with data and make recommendations on expansion or delivery optimization

Ensure that master zip code data and maps of delivery regions are updated regularly and information is properly cascaded to other teams

Work with cross-functional teams such as the supply and people to make sure that launches and roll-outs are done in a methodical and timely manner, and that all the pieces fall into place before the launch

Skills and Qualifications:

3-5+ years of project management and analytical experience

Experience in consulting or banking preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

Demonstrated experience solving complex problems with no clear or straightforward solution

Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics preferred

Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills

Relationship building and interpersonal skills

Advanced knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, Asana required

Bonus points for SQL skills.

You love building things from scratch and are comfortable with navigating new territory with potentially little structure

You are a master project manager and understand what it takes a build out proper timelines and dependencies among other team members

You are able to make sense of large data sets, see trends and organize problems into a structured model and build it out into a project

You are highly organized and have meticulous attention to detail

You have the ability to problem-solve and think on your feet (A.K.A. a mental juggler)

You excel at independent, unsupervised work

You’re a great all-around communicator and can balance your soft skills and getting stakeholder buy-in with meeting hard deadlines and tight timelines

Details of the Position:

Full-time exempt position reporting to the VP of Business Operations & Strategy

Position based out of our San Francisco headquarters in the Bayview district

Physical Requirements:

Driving and domestic travel may be necessary

Exposure to all types of weather conditions

Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

Some sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time

Movement around the office/facility may be necessary

Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens

Regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets
