We are looking for an experienced and exceptional Sales Development Leader who is highly motivated, data and results-driven, and excited to lead our North American team of sales development reps (SDR) and scale the organization for the future.

The ideal candidate and perfect leader for this team will be execution-focused; able to think analytically, strategically, and manage tactically while thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; and have the experience and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and collaborate cross functionally. As a key leader, this role will have a critical impact on the inner workings of our rapidly growing sales organization, and the strategies, processes, and systems that support its growth. The ability to present data-driven narratives and influence leadership is foundational to this role.

The Sales Development Leader will set team comp plans and goals, motivate and develop team members, and work closely with other senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Success. Top candidates will possess domain expertise of Enterprise SaaS business models, particularly connection points between sales, marketing, and product.

What you will be doing:

Working closely with senior leadership across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product and Customer Success to execute Anaplan’s go-to-market strategy for pipeline generation and new logo acquisition

Coaching and hiring a team of high-performing SDRs

Defining critical drivers of success and designing playbooks, comp plans, career paths, and appropriate measurements for the sales development organization

Utilizing quantitative methods to measure, manage, and optimize efforts and allocation of resources

Helping build a fun, high-energy environment where people love coming to work

Experience you’ll need:

10+ years of second-line management experience

7+ years of experience in building & scaling sales development organizations

Desire to lead, coach, and develop others around you. You have a passion for developing talent and coaching a team to success

Strong communication skills - this role will require consistent communication with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and usiness operations organizations

Ability to adapt easily to a rapidly changing environment

Software industry experience required; SaaS experience preferred

Willingness to travel to global office locations

Bachelor's degree required
