ZEFR is growing! We are hiring a new Finance Associate / Senior Finance Associate reporting to the VP of Finance and working closely to other members of the Executive team. This role will be part of the finance team, whose purpose is to provide business insights to measure progress on the company’s performance while influencing the Company and its leaders to make thoughtful financial, strategic, and operational decisions. This role will have routine responsibilities along with project-based work. Therefore, it will require juggling multiple multi-month projects at any given period of time. This role will be pivotal in organizing and presenting financial, sales, and operating data, helping to create various internal company presentations/reports and external board/investor presentations.


Here's what you'll get to do:

  • Prepare and enhance existing forecasting processes in support of annual plan and forecasts.
  • Analyze monthly financial results, performance variance analysis, identify key trends and drivers.
  • Provide financial planning & analysis support to business functions to ensure they have the resources and investment allocations to align, execute and deliver on key initiatives that are aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Produce internal/external monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages with relevant insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales/ad operations team to define and track KPIs, improving the visibility and usability of internal data.
  • Regularly work with department leaders (Marketing, Engineering, Ad Operations, Product, etc.) to analyze financial results, support and measure financial impact of strategic decisions, and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and communicate presentation materials, insights, and recommendations to senior executives.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of finance experience, or relevant work experience in prior analytical roles (corporate finance, strategic planning, or completion of an analyst program at an investment bank, consulting firm, or investment fund).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; someone who feels comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and Excel skills. Candidates must be able to get data from internal tools and resources, analyze the data, draw conclusions from analyses, and organize/present data in a logical manner.
  • Curious self-starter with a sense of urgency and persistence.
  • Adaptable/flexible, creative thinker, and quick learner in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Highly motivated with a roll your sleeves up mentality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
