Director, Business Intelligence and Analytics at Zwift

About the role:

Reporting to the VP of Product Management, you will help lead Zwift through our next phase of growth by evangelizing a data informed culture. This is both a strategic and hands on role where you'll have a passion for data as well as experience leading a team of analysts and data scientists. You’ll lead the efforts to bring a data driven approach to all areas of the business from acquisition to engagement and retention. You will develop key relationships with product, engineering, design, marketing and CRM. You will breathe data on a daily basis, to validate/invalidate our intuitions and hypotheses, and to get insights to inform business and product decisions. If this is you, come join our team!

What you'll do:

    Evangelize data informed decision making throughout the organization by collaborating with cross functional partners in product, engineering, strategy, finance, CRM and marketing
    A leader as well as a team player, willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make your projects a success
    Partner with product management and engineering teams to define success metrics and provide analysis on the performance of new product launches and feature enhancements
    Ensure data best practices and be a thought leader in building a data informed culture throughout Zwift
    Leverage our data analytics and data science resources to offer actionable insights
    Lead the team through change as we grow and evolve the analytics team
    Comfortable defining and building process, only to break it down and evolve them again, as the business needs evolve
    Provide timely turnarounds on data requests for one off projects that support key company initiatives and partnership

What we're looking for:

    8+ years of experience in data analytics for a consumer facing, digital first business
    Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field
    Ability to perform complex analyses with large amounts of data, create actionable insights and tailor the communication/findings to various stakeholders including the executive team and product and engineering teams
    Experience analyzing large data sets
    Experience with customer funnel analytics and segmentation modeling
    Experience designing and analyzing multivariate experiments
    Experience with machine learning methods and tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn
    Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases
    Technical expertise with data models, database design, data access, data mining and data segmentation techniques
    Experience querying databases and using R, Python, SQL, etc.
    Working knowledge of analytics/BI and data visualization tools like Tableau, Google Analytics, Sisense
    Experience in a complex, cross functional organizations where you and your team needs to collaborate and integrate into teams across many disciplines
    Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win
