We are currently seeking a strong and driven Director of People to join our fast-paced start-up environment in our Seattle, WA. Fly team office!

What You’ll Do

Design, implement and improve broad People initiatives around Performance Management, Compensation, Culture, and Diversity & Inclusion

Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Provides guidance and input to Senior Management on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.

Analyze trends and metrics within the business to develop programs and policies.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required. 

What You’ll Bring

7-10 years of work experience as an HR Generalist, or HRBP (start-up experience preferred)

No real estate experience needed!

Experience with HRIS systems and employee benefits

Ability to produce policies and procedures that work across an operations & tech org

Exceptional people and communication skills

Impeccable ethics and ability to handle confidential matters

Ability to respectfully push back or make suggestions of improvement to leadership

Patience, and a can-do, “I got this” mentality even in stressful encounters

Experience in processing work-related visa applications/documents (F1/K1/H1/Prevailing Wage)
