Tonal is looking for a Retail Showroom Manager to lead our Showroom at the Stanford Shopping Center, located in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be critical in executing our retail strategy in Stanford as we expand our retail presence. You’ll be leading the sales floor, and working closely with a variety of departments in an effort to provide an exceptional customer experience. What you will do

Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of Tonal’s product and brand image

Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve desired results

Lead and support all activities to meet showroom business goals. Accountable for all aspects of the store (scheduling, operating budget, store maintenance, sales goals, merchandising and stocking)

Lead a profitable store by enrolling the entire team to achieve your sales plan; you utilize company tools to strategically plan sales targets and labor hours; you accurately track labor hours and expenses, You are responsible for hours management and scheduling for your team

Manage your team to develop exceptional customer relationships and promote a sales culture to build productivity

Develop an immersive and personalized demo experience in partnership with the corporate Retail team. Discover customers’ individual needs and meet their goals with Tonal as the solution.

Facilitate customer relationships through discovery, purchase, product training and in-home installation

Utilize sales tools to follow-up with in-store leads and drive business, and move customers through the sales process. Train and hold sales associates accountable to customer lead follow up

Proactively recruit, interview, and select qualified, diverse candidates to build a talent pipeline to achieve business goals

You will execute and oversee the full hiring process from interviews, offer letters, and background checks to HR appointments and on-boarding

Establish store presence in the community by fostering positive relationships with clients and other retailers

Implement grassroots marketing initiatives to grow the brand & influence the market

Create a timeline of events for the store by setting-up in store events with partners

Stay in the know of market growth opportunities & leverage those to benefit store and brand performance

Responsible for ensuring the store meets company guidelines in operating, opening and closing procedures. Where Standard Operating Procedures do not exist, partner with the corporate retail team to develop policies and procedures. 

You unpack boxes for inventory as required (boxes can weigh 5 - 30 lbs)

Who You Are

2+ years sales management experience in retail, fitness, service or hospitality industries preferred

Ability to deliver great customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable sales results

Strong verbal communication skills. You’re invigorated by interaction with customers, whether groups or individuals. You are approachable, a good listener, and an enthusiastic brand representative

Flexibility, ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and changes in strategies

Excellent written communication skills. You’re organized, and you follow through on next steps.

Experience analyzing sales reports, identifying business trends, and reacting quickly to the needs of the business

Flexibility to work a standard retail schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Proficiency with Apple Products, Google Suite, and Salesforce a plus
