About the Role

We’re seeking a Technical Project Manager with experience driving projects involving Unity3D,

Unreal Engine, 3D Modeling software or CAD software to join the team. Reporting to the Director

of Production, the Technical Project Manager will oversee and work with a cross-department

team to produce high quality VR/3D simulation modules for the learning management platform

product in a timely and efficient manner. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that the VR/3D

simulation production process follows proper protocols and that team members adhere to a

well-defined schedule for their tasks. The ability to absorb concepts and learn quickly is critical

to this role. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will work directly in the management of

the production of a simulation course.

While Interplay Learning is headquartered in Austin, TX, this role can be done remotely from

anywhere within the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

Organizes the project team and keeps the team on track to meet goals, objectives and

deadlines.

Produces and coordinates technical materials for internal teams

Leverages best practices in project management by ensuring proper protocol is followed

with project management software and tracking.

Ensure product quality on all platforms including VR, touch, and screen space.

Drives and ensures team communication, operation and efficiency in all production

phases

Be knowledgeable of and aware of common VR design practices in use

Lead and coordinate full cycle project production of 3D/VR simulations including scope

of work approval, approval of internal deliverables and technical specifications for new

interactions and tools

Reports project status and needs on a regular basis

Establishes project life cycle and timeline and communicate regularly with the team as

well as external clients

Key Requirements

5+ years of experience in technical project management in SaaS software or e-learning

companies or production of 3D environments for games engines.

Expertise running projects with products using Unity3D, Unreal Engine and/or 3D Modeling

software or CAD software.

Expertise in using project management tools such as Asana.

Experience with or knowledge of electromechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc) is a

bonus

Ability to influence and communicate effectively across teams between departments

and with diverse personalities (remote team experience a plus)

Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical personnel

Ability to consolidate varying streams of communication into one cohesive vision and

message

Experience establishing a culture of accountability within your teams

Highly organized, efficient, clear communicator in both written and verbal forms

Strong team player, work ethic, high integrity, accountability, responsibility

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
