Claims Manager at Turo

We are looking for a Claims Manager to join us as part of our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to help continue to grow our new office in Fitzrovia and take part in a high energy work environment for a rapidly growing company with global ambitions. This position reports to the Head of UK Operations and is an opportunity to build the UK claims team from the ground up. 

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all UK claims and work closely with our US claims team and insurer

Manage the UK claims portfolio and build a team of 2 claims agents 

Must be data driven and have strategic focus for handling claims 

Identify and drive ongoing improvements to our policies and procedures and action the blockers in progressing claims to settlement

Foster high quality claims handling processes to deliver an excellent claims experience to our customers ensuring regular communication and timelines updates are given

Collaborate with your peers, supervisors and our claims handling partner to continue to improve results

Handle all claims escalations and manage relationships with vendors and insurers

Meet KPIs for customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee satisfaction

Complete weekly aged pending reports and reviews

Vendor management and co-ordination of all claims processes

Training and knowledge checks

Monthly invoice reviews on all claims and roadside incidents

Weekly metric reviews of all UK claims and monthly analysis reviews

Raising problematic claims with our insurer and broker and aiding high level decision making on next steps

Multitasking different projects and prioritising at a moment’s notice

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years experience in claims management, including claims terminology, mobility insurance and or underwriting.

Strong understanding of relevant data and metrics to drive results

Minimum 2.1 degree 

Entrepreneurial mindset

Insurance claims handling preferable

Exceptional personal qualities and people skills

Outstanding conflict resolution and de-escalation skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive and embrace change

Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and organisational skills

Must be a team player, with positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to the mission

Commitment to high responsiveness and availability

Strong proficiency with technology such as: Claims Management systems, CRM systems, Google Docs, MS Office, Zendesk.  Mac expertise a plus
