The Impact You’ll Make

As the Head of Product Marketing, Public Agencies you will lead a critical part of our marketing efforts for our city, county, state, regional, special district, and federal government partners. Public Agencies are an integral part of the safe, healthy, and vibrant neighborhoods we are cultivating at Nextdoor - with over 5,000 Public Agency partners globally, and quickly growing. As Nextdoor grows and serves more Public Agency partners you will lead our positioning and Go To Market for our paid platform. You will work cross-functionally with product, sales, account management and your peers in product marketing to help build our fast-growing business.  

We are looking for someone who is thoughtful, resourceful, strategic and also willing to roll up their sleeves.  You will be the marketing leader for this team, and responsible for much of the execution of our strategy for our Public Agency partners. You should be excited to bring your experience and expertise with the public sector every day in order to:  

    Lead the positioning and GTM of all Public Agency products
    Help lead in-market messaging and campaigns to drive additional engagement and Public Agency growth
    Partner with product management to help drive insights from our Public Agency partners into the product roadmap
    Ensure our Public Agency products are understood, valued and differentiated in the marketplace
    Collaborate cross functionally to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and understood Nextdoor’s positioning and differentiation in the market
    Act as the product expert internally and externally for Public Agency partners
    Lead go to market efforts cross functionally, including driving scope, timeline, and launch efforts

You’ll Bring to The House

    Minimum of 5 years experience in a product marketing capacity, ideally in the govtech sector
    Define our competitive position and develop all of our product marketing materials
    Create and implement strategic marketing plans to drive qualified leads to our client partners
    Perform lightweight data analysis to support marketing-related business decisions
    Build, manage, and measure our content marketing calendar
    Strong analytical skills including proficiency in Excel
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Well organized and detail-oriented
    Excellent teamwork skills
    Passion for building community
    Unquestioned integrity, impeccable judgment and the ability to think critically
    A collaborative, thoughtful, strategic and operational/tactical leader, who is comfortable with open communication and giving/receiving constructive feedback respectfully

    Experience in a fast growing govtech start-up
    Experience with consumer communications platforms

    You’ll do a series of hangouts to meet the team! - You’ll meet with 4-5 neighbors, including the hiring manager, one of our HR Generalists, and a cross-functional partner!
    You’ll come back onsite to meet with the business partners you would be supporting!
