Nextdoor is seeking a Head of Sales Readiness to build its team and program from the ground up. The team’s mission will be to effectively align people, processes, and priorities with relevant learnings, communication and coaching to enable sales mastery and work efficiency.  

The Impact You’ll Make

The Head of Sales Readiness will be responsible for developing a best in class education and learning program for Nextdoor’s Sales, Services, and Solutions teams. The core responsibility will be to build a value based sales framework and create engaging learning experiences around sales skills and a go-to-market strategy that resonate with the various daily scenarios Sales face. The Sales Readiness team is essential to Nextdoor achieving its aggressive growth and revenue targets by helping improve the quality of conversations with prospects and customers. Key responsibilities in the role are:

    Be the expert with regards to sales readiness best practices and provide thought leadership to position Nextdoor’s revenue team as the model in the industry
    Establish team goals in collaboration with stakeholders on Sales, Marketing and Product. Coordinate with these stakeholders to define and drive readiness initiatives that arm teams with the necessary content and go to market strategy to increase sales revenue
    Understand the key sales metrics that will be the inputs and outputs to the measurement of success. Ensure that education content and programs are instrumented so that we are making data-driven decisions and quantifying the impact of enablement
    Create, lead, and oversee education and training programs on sales frameworks, skill based development and product knowledge delivered through eLearning and live sessions
    Drive continuous innovation and improvement
    Communicate effectively and often to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and view sales readiness programs as a multiplier
    Build a global team over time and be motivated to roll up your sleeves to get the work done in the near term
    Travel required (approximate 30% of the time)

What You’ll Bring to The House

    7+ years of proven Enablement/Sales Readiness leadership experience within the technology sales and/or services sector. Prior experience with establishing Sales Readiness as a function in a global environment preferred
    Previous ownership of developing and delivering sales training and broader product or services GTM enablement programs
    Experience implementing learning programs in a team/collaborative environment across various  modalities (microlearning, mobile learning, eLearning, virtual learning, live simulation and live classroom)
    Proven ability to influence, motivate teams, present and deliver to a broad audience
    Highly collaborative with a knack for maturing key stakeholder relationships
    Flexible, adaptable and unflappable under high pressure and often ambiguous situations
    Experience building and coaching highly productive teams and optimizing potential
    Enjoys working with new tools and is a self-motivated learner
    Ability to thrive in a rapid-development, fast-paced environment
