QA Engineer at SendBird

The Engineering Team at Sendbird is solving some of the biggest challenges related to building a reliable, feature-rich, and scalable real-time conversational experience across different platforms.

The challenges range from building a platform that can scale to some of the largest user bases across distributed environments with optimal latency, creating a feature-rich, yet lightweight and high-performance client-side SDK, and building products and services that can help customers incorporate real-time conversational technologies more rapidly.

You will be participating in the Quality Assurance team, developing test cases, and debugging issues that our users might encounter. Your responsibilities are not limited to just testing across devices and browsers, but helping lead the development of Sendbird’s products and automated test suites for Sendbird’s dashboard, SDK's and API's.


  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
  • Document results of tests for the engineering and product management team
  • Improve the QA process, and expand test coverage and capabilities
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements


  • You have the ability to create flexible and reusable test cases that can cover a wide range of use and edge cases
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools


  • 5+ years of work experience in QA across SaaS-based products


  • High proficiency in computer technology and programming languages
  • Moderate to a high-level understanding of how app's and websites work, understanding of API's, relational databases, and development frameworks
  • Ability to get into dev console or look at a stack trace to help debug an issue, and to reproduce complex bugs with minimal reproduction steps
  • Willingness or ability to maintain automation tests
  • Proficiency in Sendbird products
