In this role, you will be partnering with Pill Club’s affiliated pharmacies, medical group and management company supporting their day to day operational and compliance needs.  As needs change and evolve, you will also support the General Counsel and other Pill Club executives with a variety of legal needs including but not limited to, research, compliance, and operations.   As a member of a small team, you will have significant opportunities for growth and professional development. This position reports directly to the General Counsel and works closely with the finance, medical and pharmacy teams.


    • Responsible for working with outside vendor(s) to maintain business licenses for all entities  
    • Assist with day-to-day operational compliance activities throughout the organization
    • Review business associate and non-disclosure agreements agreements
    • Assist with the tactical build-out of the company compliance program 
    • Conduct research for company initiatives and compliance matters

Education Requirements

    • Paralegal or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Required Skills

    • Have at least 5 years of paralegal experience
    • Have prior in-house experience paralegal experience or law firm experience working with health care or pharmacy entities
    • Have experience with administering a business license program
    • Have experience researching healthcare and/or insurance regulations in multiple states Be flexible and be able to adapt and thrive in an environment that is constantly changing with an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize based upon the needs of the business
    • Have the ability to make all levels of the company comfortable coming to your for support
    • Be a self-starter with high personal accountability while working well in a team environment
    • Be organized, process driven and detail oriented
    • Most importantly, have excitement to shape the future of one of the fastest growing healthcare companies and be eager to be a part of a quickly evolving industry

Preferred Experience

    • Have in-house experience at a pharmacy,  pharmacy benefits manager, healthcare provider or a start-up
    • Have experience reviewing business associate agreements and/or non-disclosure agreements
    • Have working knowledge of the ACA, HI-TECH, HIPAA, Stark law at federal and state level
    • Have working knowledge in data privacy laws and regulations
    • Have prior experience assisting with a corporate compliance program in a regulated industry

Business Impact of Position

    • This role will assist the General Counsel in all legal issues in the company.  Obtaining and maintaining insurance as well as regulatory compliance are top priorities of the company.  This role is critical to success in those goals.  This role should reduce outside counsel legal expenses.
