Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Scientist  to help build world-class customer-centric data products that solve industry and customer problems. This is a person who has the experience to implement machine learning pipeline and design visualisation dashboards. manage partner relationships but at the same time is able to understand highly technical products. The person will have the opportunity to research new algorithms while supporting the product development teams. This is a job where you will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and collaborate across multiple functions.

Responsibilities of your role:

  • Work closely with product and business teams to identify important questions and answer them with data
  • Investigate new features and algorithms using our vast data sources
  • Work with our product development team to deploy new algorithms in production
  • Design, analyze, and interpret the results of experiments
  • Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources

Basic qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a data scientist on a technology product
  • Fluency in data-science fundamentals: SQL, data manipulation in R or Python, and statistics
  • Fluency in geospatial data visualization techniques and analysis
  • Strong theoretical knowledge about Machine learning
  • Fluency in English

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge about the Maritime industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills on quantitative topics
  • Prior experience with data-distributed tools (Beam and Flink)
