The Ethics & Compliance Team at Tally prides itself on partnering with our teammates to champion our customer’s interests and find creative, compliant, and efficient solutions to further Tally’s mission of making people less stressed and better off financially. 

We’re seeking a Compliance Manager to help maintain and enhance our consumer compliance program and build out the company's ethics & compliance program. The ideal candidate will have previous compliance/regulatory experience in the consumer financial services space, have exceptional organizational and project management skills, and be excited about building a program that will help Tally grow. The role will report to the Head of Compliance (based in San Francisco, California) and will work cross-functionally with other teams.

Role Impact:

  • Collaborate with product development, growth and operations teams 
  • Maintain, review, enhance and operationalize Tally’s consumer compliance program 
  • Implement effective consumer compliance policies and procedures
  • Design and conduct relevant compliance training for targeted teams
  • Identify and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks to support day-to-day operations and growth initiatives.
  • Develop and implement compliance monitoring activities and manage remediation efforts
  • Oversee and support the company’s consumer complaint processes and related corrective actions
  • Identify gaps and/or requirements needed in the consumer compliance program and collaborate with stakeholder to design effective, practical solutions
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Tally’s  current and future product offerings, to provide practical advice on product related compliance issues
  • Act as point of contact to auditors or other third parties in due diligence and compliance reviews
  • Review communications such as marketing and advertising materials for regulatory compliance
  • Provide support for Tally’s corporate and regulatory filings
  • Help develop and implement ethics & compliance policies, procedures, processes and controls  

In this role we value:

  • 5+ years compliance or regulatory experience in financial services with working knowledge of KYC/AML procedures and US consumer protection regulations including: ECOA, EFTA, FCRA, GLBA, TILA, UDAAP  and related state laws
  • Applying project management skills, experience, and methodologies to run projects through to completion
  • Outstanding attention to detail with a gets-it-done attitude
  • Self-direction and a knack for spotting issues and solving problems
  • Ability to research and understand varying and complex regulations, but not afraid to ask questions when you don’t know the answers
  • Ability to define risk, collect data, and draw effective conclusions
  • Ability to multi-task and handle variety of projects and responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with data privacy requirements is a plus
