TigerConnect has an immediate opening for an HR Generalist in Shanghai. This role will report to the Senior Manager, People Operations in our Santa Monica HQ and work closely with the People team to help streamline and deliver on Human Resources processes. They will also be responsible for office management, benefits, payroll, local compliance, and other coordination responsibilities for the Shanghai office. As a member of the People team, you will also help ensure that all of our team members have a positive, supportive, and engaging experience.

They should also be exceptionally organized, flexible, and adaptive to a fast-moving environment while demonstrating initiative and accountability to drive work to completion.

What You'll Own:​

  • Act as the first point of contact for Shanghai employees and managers to provide support on utilizing HR tools, employee engagement, processes, and policies; improving performance and ensuring compliance
  • Manage the onboarding and orientation for all new employees in Shanghai including conducting presentations, giving a property tour, and processing of paperwork
  • Maintenance of ongoing Shanghai team changes in our HRIS and other people systems to ensure data is always accurate, including all employee updates and off-boarding
  • Manage Shanghai employee directory, organizational chart, and other documentation
  • Assistance with Shanghai-specific company events and swag process 
  • Manage and keep compliance policies and procedures up-to-date for the Shanghai office location(s)

What You've Accomplished:

  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related subject
  • 3-5 years experience working in a coordinating role supporting a People/HR team, ideally at a high-growth tech company
  • General knowledge of local Shanghai employment laws and practice
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Experience with HRIS systems & building reports
  • Intermediate knowledge of GSuite, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality; absolute discretion in handling sensitive/confidential information, strong ethics, and ability to exercise good judgment
  • Great attention to detail and ability to process data entry with minimal errors
