Business Development Manager at SendBird

As the Business Development Manager, you will take advantage of this rare opportunity to be the first business development hire. Your primary initiative will be to design and execute a strategic BD plan with the goals to deliver value to customers and partners and to expand our business domain and drive revenue growth. This high impact role is an opportunity for you to launch, negotiate, manage, and cultivate strategic relationships in order to drive the growth of the business. Not only will you lead day-to-day business development, but you will also work on long term, strategic projects to improve processes, help us scale, and enhance our overall partner ecosystem and customer experience. We will truly rely on your business development prowess to take our organization to the next level.

What you will do:

  • Design and plan partnership opportunities across product and go-to-market, execute, and follow through towards delivering results.
  • You will own and drive initiatives, while being able to leverage other teams’ expertise by earning trust, aligning interests, priorities, and resources through your leadership skills and business expertise to solve complex problems that have long-term impact to the business.Identify and proposes projects/solutions that fall outside of already defined processes and systems, while being able to integrate such solutions to the existing organization.
  • You will drive cross-functional scoping, alignment, structuring, implementation, and management of key partnerships to achieve aggressive targets. 
  • You will establish performance metrics, KPIs, reporting, and funnel management with regular reviews of established goals. 
  • Develop full understanding of Sendbird’s business, customers, functions, and how they drive the business by leading company-wide project initiatives.
  • You will recommend programs needed for achieving Sendbird’s business development goals and consistently ensure processes are built into programs that achieve high-quality, impactful results for the end user. 


  • Experience in a high-growth, early-stage startup
  • 8+ years experience in corporate development, finance, partnerships, or strategy roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering (with business management experience/MBA) or other relevant field
